I am Tatjana Daikova
I live and work in Burgas, Bulgaria. I studied Fashion Design at “Bogoya” in Varna. I have worked in fashion and interior design. Painting is my passion, and at the moment, I am fully dedicated to this art. I have participated in many group exhibitions in Burgas and beyond. In March 2024, I had a solo exhibition in Kazanlak at the “Ivan Milev” exhibition hall, where I presented silk paintings, watercolors, and painted scarves.
My inspiration is nature. I love flowers and paint them until I can sense their fragrance. I mainly paint on silk and with watercolors. These techniques offer freedom but sometimes reveal surprising characteristics. Natural silk is the material that best expresses me. The fabric is delicate, fine, and has a soft, natural sheen. Painting on silk is like a form of meditation. The blending of colors on natural silk and the resulting nuances are incomparable. The painting process is labor-intensive and consists of many steps, but the end result is worth the effort. I paint scarves and pictures on silk. Watercolor is my other passion. I usually paint in semi-dry or wet techniques. In my paintings, you will find a world of flowing colors and shades.
