My name is Elitsa Karabashlieva. I was born and raised in Varna, Bulgaria. Thirteen years ago, I discovered watercolor as my preferred painting technique to depict the world and my emotions. Watercolor is a delicate technique that captures light with the softness of water and pigments. The themes that move me are diverse – architecture, nature, especially water in all its forms, objects with history, flowers, and even the smallest creatures on earth – insects. I have participated in over 40 exhibitions in Bulgaria and worldwide, including 4 solo exhibitions. For seven years, I have been a member of the Varna Artists Association.
