In 1993, she graduated from the first class of the National Aprilov High School in Gabrovo with a degree in art, culture and aesthetics.
In 2001, she graduated from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski with a degree in cultural studies. And in 2018, her passion for crystals led her to geology and she graduated from the Mine and Geology University St. Ivan Rilski, with a degree as an geological engineer – geology and exploration of mineral and energy deposits.
For Mariela, painting is passion, enthusiasm, joy of experience, joy of creation. The emotion of creation turns into an emotion of giving and receiving, because art is the connection of souls in the high fields of vibration. In this sense, the artist as a creator is a mediator between the material and spiritual worlds. Each of her paintings is inspired by natural forms and concepts of life. The paintings are colorful and modern in an abstract-realistic style. They are created with various media – acrylic paints, oil paints in combination with structural paste, crystals, gold foil and gold pigment.
