Petra Dobrevska – Artist
My name is Petra Dobrevska and I am a professional artist.
I was born in the beautiful and artistic city of Plovdiv and carry its creative spirit and energy within me!
It was there that my first exhibitions and performances as an artist took place.
I graduated from the Art High School in Plovdiv and the Art Academy in Sofia, specializing in painting in the class of Nikolai Maistorov.
Painting is my passion and my element, but I also have experience in many other areas of art – such as painted animation, professional makeup and body art, performance art and installations, visual poetry, and much more, including realized projects and exhibitions.
Many of my paintings are owned by collectors from Bulgaria, Germany, America, Spain, and the Czech Republic.
Contemporary art in all its forms inspires me, but in painting, I find and discover myself throughout my entire creative journey. My style is abstract expressionism, colorful, captivating, and sensual. I love working on large abstract canvases saturated with various textures and colors, landscapes, portraits, and anything that brings ideas and a dose of provocation. I don’t like to limit myself or fall into stereotypes. Art is love, and it guides me in my search as an artist. My art is sensitive and intuitive, seeking the light and its brilliance, as well as new spaces for its free flight. Ultimately, I believe that light leaves unmistakable traces.
